Ok, so BOOM... It goes like this....
I've always wanted to start a blog. I used to love writing but then high school and college sort of took the joy away.... (Boooooo term papers!) But lately, a spark has reignited in me! And I've been feeling the urge to pick up the pen... well, keyboard... again and now here we are!
I'm but a simple girl.... Raised in the south [GRITS, Baby!!]. I grew up with two brothers whose sole goal in life (I'm convinced) was to gross me out (boys... ugh... am I right?) But it's cool! It all worked out!! It prepared me for my career as a bedside nurse!! So bring on the code browns; The bed wetters! The booger pickers! And the gas passers!! I can handle it all! Just PLEASE don't spit or ask me to blow your nose FOR you... Because I might just puke my guts out myself. Yep, that's right. I'm THAT nurse that just canNOT handle spit or snot. I've tried and I tried. I can't do it. Not even for one of my cute little nieces and God-babies. I send them straight back to their mama with a tissue in hand.... SORRY!
I have several loves in my life.... #1 being God! (Shoutout to the big Man upstairs!) Then my loving husband, Myke, and my furbaby, Rocky.... Hmm, "furbaby" makes him sound little and he is far from it! My 100 lb Labradane is a big ball of sunshine and brings joy to our hearts EVERYDAY..... Except when he's munching on our brand new furniture.... [I'm sure this won't be the last time you hear about that.] I also love dancing and singing (tho it's not very good), and playing flag football with my lady friends. Yep... Ladies love football too. Don't get it twisted! My top faves, I must say, are traveling with family and friends, and OF COURSE anything crafting and DIY!! I have a lot of big plans coming together surrounding my gift for crafts and can't wait for you guys to see what unfolds! So stay tuned!!
Alllllrighty then... to shorten this already lengthy FIRST post! I'd just like to say THANK YOU for visiting my blog and I hope you come back next week! My goal is to start off by posting weekly. One week it may be a craft I'm working on. Next week it might be a funny or touching story from something that happened at the bedside with one of my crazy patients.... All HIPPA approved of course! And who knows, maybe another week might be about one of my many travels or a delicious recipe I've come across. Who knows! But stick around and we'll wing it together!!
